Supporting Students with ENCOUNTERS
Programs designed to help students participate, communicate, and grow through real experience.
Parents want programs that are structured, supportive, and meaningful.
ENCOUNTERS works with students, families, schools, and partners to create cultural exchange experiences that are safe, organized, and grounded in real participation.
Our role is to provide clear communication, preparation, and ongoing support — helping students navigate new environments with confidence while keeping families informed throughout the experience.
Support for students and families
ENCOUNTERS provides structure and support throughout the program experience.
This includes:
• program planning and preparation
• communication before and during the program
• coordination with schools, host families, and local partners
• supervision through group leaders and local coordinators
• ongoing support for students and families
Families remain informed throughout the experience, and students are supported as they adjust to new environments and responsibilities.
What students gain
Through participation in real environments, students develop:
• confidence in communication
• independence and initiative
• adaptability in unfamiliar situations
• problem-solving and decision making
• greater cultural awareness and understanding
Growth comes through experience, participation, and interaction — not observation alone.
Start a conversation
If your school is considering hosting international students, we begin with a conversation.
We’ll discuss your school environment, timing, and what would work best —
and determine whether a program can be structured to fit your needs.
